Porcelain Inlays and Onlays
Inlays Onlays

Dental Inlays and onlays, or dental overlays, are used to restore cavities that are deep or large that simple fillings does not or may not suffice. Dental inlays and dental onlays are made in the dental laboratories and may be made from porcelain or alloys.
Porcelain Inlay and Onlay Process

Porcelain inlays and onlays treatment takes about two to three visits.

During the first appointment, your dentist preps the portion of the damaged teeth surface to enable the porcelain inlay or porcelain onlay to be bonded on. An impression of teeth is then made that is used to fabricate your dental overlays.

During the second appointment, your dentist will evaluate the shape, size and color of the delivered porcelain inlay or porcelain onlay with you before the dental inlay or dental onlay is permanently bonded onto teeth area. The tooth is cleaned, etched and the porcelain overlay cemented on. A light catalyst is used to cure and allow the porcelain overlay to be securely bonded into place.

Third visits are made for any required adjustments and checkups.
Porcelain inlays and onlays can provide a new long-lasting and natural looking smile.
